Key Responsibilities
- Present work in a clear, concise and timely manner, ensuring it is free of basic errors and incorporates feedback.
- Utilise tools, including AI, to improve the quality, accuracy, and organisation of work.
- Keep teams updated on progress and clarify any unclear aspects of the brief or prioritisation, updating the WIP (Work in Progress).
- Take detailed minutes and notes for internal and client meetings/calls and proactively document in client folders on platforms like SharePoint.
- Understand and align with client objectives, assisting with tasks such as drafting pitch emails, distributing press releases, and managing media lists.
- Monitor media coverage using all available tools, compile detailed reports, and promptly share urgent articles.
- Stay updated on the latest tech trends, algorithm changes, and new media platforms, ensuring relevance in communications.
- Engage in continuous professional development by reading sector titles, attending events and participating in training sessions.
- Begin to build and maintain a network of contacts beneficial to clients and the company.
- Support and reinforce a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Contribute to internal communications – like company newsletters – and initiatives, providing new ideas.
- Navigate a dynamic working environment, contributing to the generation of revenue from clients and delivering profit.
- Engage in networking opportunities, leveraging your professional connections.
Candidate specification
- Work experience within a communications agency or in a communications role, advising on business-critical issues.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of current affairs and the media landscape
- Excellent writing and proof-reading ability demonstrated across a variety of formats
- Understanding of how to manage social media accounts and websites, including content generation
- Able to demonstrate efficiency in managing your time effectively
- Interest in working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple different projects at any given time.
- Experience with communications platforms (databases and monitoring services) such as Roxhill, Signal AI etc.
- Good email and phone manner with journalists, demonstrating tenacity to deliver results
- Proficient with digital communications tools.
